D. HYGEN is a Japanese avant-garde label built on the philosophy of Strainism—a concept centered on tension, equilibrium, and the dialogue between form and movement. Created by two anonymous designers, the brand investigates how the human body interacts with clothing, using structure and force to craft pieces that feel simultaneously contained and unbound.

Inspired by the Japanese proverb “HAI_GEN,” D. HYGEN views clothing as an extension of the individual, subtly shaping the unseen currents of time and life. Every garment is crafted with meticulous tailoring and a refined sensitivity to motion, resulting in designs where artistic expression and functionality seamlessly converge.
