Werkschwarz is a German leather project defined by experimentation with blackness, texture, and artisanal hand-finishing. The label works primarily with full-grain cowhide and vegetable-tanned leathers, developing deep, layered black tones through slow dye processes, hand-oiling, and natural oxidation. Each piece — from belts and accessories to sculptural leather objects — emphasizes tactile surfaces, raw edges, and subtle irregularities that emerge from manual craft rather than industrial polish.
